Thai Yoga Bodywork
60 Minute Session
- 1 hr1 hour
Thai Yoga Bodywork, also known as Thai Massage or lazy man's yoga, is a dynamic healing experience where the therapist moves you through yoga stretches while massaging along your body's energy lines and pressure points. It incorporates a combination of acupressure and yoga-like stretching. Unlike many Western forms of massage, there is no oil used, the therapist uses a mat on the floor instead of a massage table, and the client remains completely clothed through the session. Thai Yoga Bodywork is often considered to not only be bodywork, but also energy work. This full-body treatment has been reported to relieve muscular tension, boost the immune system, improve circulation, mobility, and flexibility, help arthritis and back pain, and leave your body and mind relaxed and rejuvenated. Thai Yoga Bodywork can be varied to suit a wide range of physical needs, is suitable for clients of all ages and abilities, and can complement any level of exercise of activity. Its most important function is to stimulate the body's energy and natural healing process; thus, it may be a valuable complementary therapy alongside virtually any other form of treatment.
