My journey with Yoga began in 2004. Being a dancer growing up, I always loved stretching and movement and I fell easily in love with yoga. I developed a home practice that soon formed into sadanas. I found that it was easier for me to get in touch with my deeper self, quieted my very busy mind, and helped me to be more open in meditation and connecting with God. In 2010 I went to my first Kundalini Yoga class and that was it! I had found MY yoga. As much as I still loved Hatha, I loved how Kundalini seemed to work quickly and get right to the point.
Â
I received my 200 hr. Level 1 KRI Â Aquarian Teacher Certification in 2016, studying with Mukta Kaur and Dr. Gurusahay Khalsa, who are both first-generation Kundalini Yoga Teachers. I recently finished my first of the 5 Level 2 modules with Mukta, Gurusahay, and Nirvair Khalsa.
Â
I'm also a Grounded Kids Yoga teacher.
Â
I love to include art in my children's classes and in special workshops for adults. I believe that our natural, creative self is awakened and flows more easily after yoga and meditation.

I have been married to my husband for 32 years and we have been blessed with four children who have enriched our lives in every way. I was a stay-at-home mom for many years and had the adventure of "unschooling" our children for 9 years or so of those years. I am a gardener, permaculture enthusiast, chicken mama, creator, lover of nature, music and good food. I especially love to be with my family and to be in or near the water.
