Tricia is a certified yoga teacher who received her RYT 200 at John’s Creek Yoga and shortly followed with her RCYT in Grounded Kids Yoga in 2019. Tricia discovered her initial interest in yoga, at a local children’s hospital, when working on program development for children with bone marrow transplants. It was in the North Carolina Mountains, during her 10- Day Yoga Teacher Immersion training, where she truly solidified her compassion for yoga. She believes yoga found her at a time when she didn’t know she needed it. Since then, she has given back to others through training, research, and mindfulness work. With her medical background in occupational therapy, the importance of applying postural cues and understanding alignment has been key to her own personal success. Learning to quiet the mind and embrace stillness has become a large portion of her own self-growth. Stillness has the power to heal us if we take the time to be content with where we are at any given moment.
As she began to deepen her own practice, she realized she wanted to share her knowledge with others. Tricia strives to create alignment-based flows with authentic sequencing and balance poses. Through breath and flow-based movements, Tricia empowers her students to find their inner strength and courage on and off the mat.
